Personal Branding is a way to market yourself that shows many different sides of you and your business. You are telling a story, you are showing your brand and you are building confidence in your future clients. This type of photo shoot involves a lot of collaboration. As the photographer I want to show many different sides of my client as a business person, in the work environment, and engaging in their business with customers and products. Styling, locations, and the overall personality being portrayed are discussed in length and planned out ahead of time. In this age of visual content Personal branding is an excellent marketing tool to make you standout amongst your professional peers.
Meet Francie...
Francie wrote her first book and came to me for her author profile pictures. She was going to need different images for public relations, a book tour and speaking events. We collaborated and decided that we would do a mix of casual and more upscale. We shot some of the portraits in the studio and the rest at her home. Now she can introduce new images when she needs a fresh look for publicity.

Meredith is one of the top interior designers in the Chicagoland area. She sought out Julie Kaplan Photography because she was updating her website and needed some images of herself. We went through her wardrobe and picked 5-6 outfits that really represent her style. Meredith was able to use these images on social media, on her new website and in print. Anytime a publication wants to write something about her she has a variety of images to send.

Monica is successful executive and performance coach helping elite athletes achieve their dreams. Monica is highly sought after for public speaking and seminars. She needed images to reach out to a variety of clients She does individual and group coaching for High school, and college athletes. Monica also has an impressive list of professional athletes that come to her for support. Monica needed a variety of images both casual and professional for all the different aspects of her business. We also snuck in some special shots for her husband.

This client is a CFO of a large company in the Midwest and needed images for both personal and professional reasons. She is the face of the company and and sits on several boards. She is thrilled she has a variety of images to use at any moment. We discussed what she was looking for and she wanted casual, approachable, professional and fun. With the variety of poses, backgrounds and wardrobe, we gave her the looks she was hoping for.
