Julie Kaplan has a love for all pets and believes they should be memorialized in portraits. They are such amazing members of our families and we cherish the time we have with them. All stages of a dog’s life are good times to take pictures; puppies, to adults and then seniors- consider having a portrait session for them. You can have your pet be the star or you can add them to a family portrait.
This is where we will meet to get to know each other and for your dog to sniff around and get familiar with the studio or outdoor space. We will go over all the details that will make your pet portrait session a success and you will let me know what you want your finished portraits to look like. We will discuss pricing and I will show you examples of Portfolio boxes, desk prints and a variety of wall art to meet your needs. We will discuss wardrobe for any family members that want to get into the portrait as well.
The Portrait Session
Yay!! We are going to have a great time. Your pup will already be familiar with me and the studio so we can get to work. It isn’t easy- but it is a lot of fun. I have tricks up my sleeve to get the best dog face reactions. The portrait session will last about an hour, or more if necessary. We will use a variety of backdrops, furniture and weather permitting an outdoor romp in the backyard. Hopefully you will also want to be in some pictures!
In-Person Ordering Session
About a week or two after the session you will be invited back to the studio to see the beautiful images I took. You will marvel at all the different options since you probably thought your dog didn’t behave!!! You will fall in love with more images than you thought. It is helpful for all decision makers in the family be at this appointment to help you decide what is best for you and your investment. I can help you design a wall gallery custom to your home and decide how to display all the images you love. I have collections that clients love because the more images you purchase, the more you save. Every purchased print comes with the matching digital file so you can make reproductions.
